Finally some "new" comic book news I can get excited about!
Fangoria Graphix, the comic book, graphic novel and literary side of Fangoria
Entertainment, is proud to announce the upcoming release of a series of graphic
novels created by the legendary Spanish horror star Paul Naschy (NIGHT OF THE
WEREWOLF, HORROR RISES FROM THE TOMB)!
WEREWOLF is a brand new, fully
painted series of graphic novels based on his popular HOMBRE LOBO film series
and its title character, the eternally cursed Waldemar Daninsky. The first
three volumes are subtitled THE RETURN OF THE WEREWOLF, THE ORIGIN OF THE CURSE
and THE SILVER KATANA.
The series was created and written by Paul, and
features gore-geous painted artwork by the amazing Javier Trujillo. It will be
available in both English and Spanish language editions.
Look forward to movie posters from the Paul Naschy collection coming soon to DearUncleCreepy

This clip was taken from the BBC comedy show Snuff Box. They got some real funny snuff over there in Britain...and real boring pornography......I've heard.

(above)original illustration for The Raven one-sheet poster
Today Uncle Creepy presents to you the documentary "Reynold Brown: The Man Who Painted Bug-Eyed Monsters".
Reynold Brown is a name unknown to most of the world and that includes me, heh heh...until now. Who toiled behind the brush of all these great movie posters?
"Reynold Brown: The Man Who Painted Bug-Eyed Monsters" gives much needed attention and recognition to an artist whose extraordinary output of unforgettable images throughout the 50's, 60's and 70's lured millions of theater-goers into...and out of their seats.

Here we have a look at the process in creating a full-color comic book cover done the old-school way by none other than Tales from Uranus, Bloody Skull Comix, and now Fukitor Comix creator Jake Karns. This is his latest creation for Fukitor#4.
Fukitor is 20 pages steeped in sleaze, filth and gore!

Also subscribe to his blog for more news and exclusive uncensored art previews.
Richard Corben's art for this Edgar Allan Poe special featuring "The Fall of the House of Usher and other stories" is probably my favorite piece of art by Corben.
Today we get a good look at the original toned underpainting; a painted and cropped version; and the final cover of the book.
Keep on coming back to this blog as there is sure to be more art by the masterful Mr. Corben coming in the future! GORE!

Great early zombie drawing by Bernie Wrightson.
This and previous image taken from the book "Bernie Wrightson: A Look Back"
by Christopher Zavisa, which features a large collection of his works and a detailed retrospective of his career. This is a must have for any fan. Out of print and cherished by their owners this book will cost you! Definitely worth it in the eyes of Uncle Creepy!
Dear Uncle Creepy, it's been years
Morbid fantasy exterminates my childhood fears
Dear Uncle Creepy, how can it be?
Some of the crap that's out these days
is such a bore to me
Dear Uncle Creepy...
The shit they call "horror" in the comic store
Nobody's got that style anymore!
Pre-code classics provide the chills
This high-tech bullshit never will!
As far as movies are concerned,
There's a plenty out that should be burned
The horror's gone, big budget's here
Whatever happened to the meaning of FEAR????
Dear Uncle Creepy, it's a crying shame
The "terror" of the 90's is so fucking LAME!!
Whatever happened to the good ol' days
Has you and Cousin Eerie turning in your graves!
Grasp your gory eyes around this ghoulish image by a modern master of the macabre, Bernie Wrightson!
Be prepared to be creeped out!
